Disputing a surname’s origin
Name origins are contested territory. Borders moved, empires dissolved, families migrated. The origin data behind the game comes from a specialist name-analysis service plus manual curation, and it gets things wrong. If you think a surname is filed under the wrong country, email me the surname with a short note on why, plus a source if you have one. Disputed names get reviewed, then corrected or pulled from the pool. There is more on how all of this works on the editorial standards page.
Account & premium support
For billing issues, cancellations, or anything related to a premium subscription, use the same address and include the email you signed up with (never your password). You can also manage your subscription directly from your profile page.
Privacy requests
Requests about your personal data, meaning access, correction or deletion, are covered in our privacy policy, and handled through the same email address.
